SCHEDULE COMPETITION
- Adults (18 and up): 9 am to 11 am
- Teens (10-17 years): 11 am to 2 pm
- Kids (4-9 years): 2 pm to 4 pm
DIVISIONS
Kata, Kumite & Weapons
RULES
- WKF Karate rules (subject to modification at the tournament director’s discretion)
- A minimum of four competitors per division, or divisions will be combined
- All ages and skill levels (age as of 04/01/24 determines division)
Safety Equipment:
- Mouthguard, fist guards, helmet (mandatory for ages 17 and under, available for purchase or borrow at the tournament), cup (for males).
Note: Competitors using helmets with face shields are exempt from using mouthguards. In sparring, the requirement for mouthguards applies when facial protection is absent, such as facemasks, face shields, or cages of any kind.
SPECTATOR FEE
- $10 per person (online tickets available here)
- $25 for a family (online tickets available here)
- Children under 6 are free
DRESS CODE
- Athletes: Solid white uniform (recommended) or any martial arts uniform
- Officials: Grey slacks, a blue blazer (not required), a white shirt (long or short sleeve), and a tie. Black shoes or no shoes (recommended)
AWARDS
Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be bestowed upon outstanding performers in each division.
