Michigan Traditional Karate Circuit – Terms and Conditions

1. Registration and Eligibility:

  • Participants must be registered members of the Michigan Traditional Karate Circuit (MTKC) to compete in events.
  • Eligibility requirements, including age, rank, and other criteria, will be specified for each competition category.

2. Code of Conduct:

  • All participants are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that upholds the traditional values of martial arts, including respect, courtesy, and fair play.
  • Unsportsmanlike behavior, including taunting or aggressive conduct, may result in immediate disqualification.

3. Event Rules:

  • Participants are required to follow the specific rules and regulations outlined for each MTKC event, encompassing scoring criteria, match duration, and attire guidelines.
  • Any disputes regarding rules will be resolved by designated MTKC officials, and their decisions are final.

4. Safety Measures:

  • All participants must comply with safety regulations, including the use of mandatory protective gear specified for each event.
  • Any participant deemed unfit to compete due to health reasons will be disqualified in the interest of safety.

5. Liability Waiver:

  • Participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with martial arts competitions and agree not to hold the Michigan Traditional Karate Circuit (MTKC) responsible for injuries or damages.

6. Photography and Videography:

  • The MTKC reserves the right to capture and use photographs or videos of participants for promotional and documentation purposes related to MTKC events.

7. Disqualification:

  • The MTKC reserves the right to disqualify participants who violate the terms and conditions or engage in unsportsmanlike conduct.

8. Changes to Events:

  • The Michigan Traditional Karate Circuit reserves the right to make changes to event schedules, locations, or rules. Participants will be promptly notified of any such changes.

9. Refund Policy:

  • Refund policies for registration fees will be outlined for each MTKC event. Generally, fees are non-refundable unless an event is canceled by the Michigan Traditional Karate Circuit.

10. Governing Law:

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Michigan, and any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.

By participating in events organized by the Michigan Traditional Karate Circuit (MTKC), participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
